Treatment Styles

Creative Art Therapy: The use of creative mediums (dance, art making, theater, music, story telling) to access and express our personal feelings. This approach allows one to communicate and connect to their experience with out words, develop insights and meaning and apply these observations to develop new ways to cope.

Psychotherapy/Counseling: Our goal is to work collaboratively to help you find the root of your distress through exploring and accessing memories, emotions, behavior and thoughts. New patterns and self beliefs from there can be established. Education is provided so you can become the expert on what you are experiencing.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy: Examining the relationship between thoughts, behaviors, and actions. Learning skills to transform our thoughts which in turn impacts our actions and behaviors.

Mindfulness: Mindfulness is a way of thinking and focusing that helps one become more aware of their present experiences.  

Mindfulness practice has two key parts:

  • Paying attention to and being aware of the present moment

  • Accepting or being willing to experience your thoughts and feelings without judging them
